4. Mobile (Compact) Pallet Racking

Mobile racks run on floor tracks, allowing aisles to shift and open only when needed. This system maximizes floor space — especially useful when storing heavy sheet metal materials.

5. Load Containment and Safety Features

Because sheet metal can be heavy and sharp-surfaced, additional safety measures are crucial:

  • Steel mesh panels or netting to prevent falling loads.

  • Column protectors to guard against forklift hits.

  • Regular audits to check for structural integrity and compliance—don’t overload or operate unsafe racks.
